Lighting issues

The other day during the weekend we finally managed to film the first few shots of our thriller sequence, we began filming the scenes where the female character is walking through Christchurch park with the security cameras following her movements. The next time we had Media Studies we loaded the video clips and to our dismay it was a disaster, the lighting in the video clips was terrible due to the timing and the shadows that the trees and hills cast on the set that we wanted.

Here is a still image of just how bad and dark the clips were, I had to edit it slightly so you could see at least the silhouettes of the trees

So basically we have made a group decision to change the location and the storyline of the thriller sequence not only because of the lighting issues but also because I felt the security cameras just didn't work, the security cameras didn't make the story seem as intense as it could be, I think normal shots like close ups, high angle shots and point of view shots will make the sequence much more direct to the viewers which we want.
