Location Shots and Storyboard

This is my location list it I will include a still image of parts of the storyline such as when the girl opens the door. our entire filming will be set in my fellow classmate Dale Russell's house which is in Shotley. There was no real reason we filmed in Shotley however while writing this Blog I just thought that it was a stroke of luck that we did because all of the connotations and props which a probable teenage girl would have in her room was already set up as Dale has a sister who is around the same age as what the victim is meant to be.

In this room there are a lot of connotations and portrayals of a young feminine girl, this is exactly what we want, the pink wallpaper with flowers on them, her bed and 'girly' blinds all will make the female look much more innocent and in a stereotypical way weak as well. The side windows offers natural lighting for the filming as well as possible useful shots and possible camera angles such as the camera (POV) watching her shut the blind. This bedroom is actually Dale's sisters bedroom, who is around 16, this was a great reason for us filming this room as the victims room, as she is around the same age and so all the connotations and stereotypical teenage girl items are already in the room.

This landing is where the girl will come  into when she opens the bedroom door. It has many doors which could lead to a false build up. The camera will be set up on the opposite of the image and will pan to follow the girl as she reaches the stairs.

This is a very important scene it it is where our title sequence abruptly stops after she was grabbed.the windows have a glazed effect and work much better at silhouettes at night creating a very atmospheric scene. There is also enough room for the killer to hide so then the audience wont be able to see or expect the figure to jump out at any other moment.
